The ordainment of Elders and Deacons

For that reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you – if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination. For the bishop must be blameless, as a Stewart of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober0minded, just, holy, self controlled.

Titus 1: 5

An ordainment of Elders and deacons took place at the Church of Kifissia on Thursday the 20th of March 2003.

A lot of Pastors coming from several Churches of Attiki were present at the ordainment. They brought many blessed messages as the Spirit gave them utterance. Then after they had prayed they laid hands on the new Deacons and Elders, thus commending them to God’s grace.

 

The newly – appointed Elders are the following:

Giorgos Goros
Giorgos Katsoulas
Haris Asvestas
Costas Dragkiotis

 

While the new Deacons are:

Kimon Klouvatos
Antonis Iseye
Vasilis Tsigakos
Christoforos Tatsis
Michalis Lano
Vasilis Geragotis
Kiriakos Darzentas

We are grateful to our Lord, because about 12 years ago, when God’s Word started in Kifissia, the Church consisted only of five (5) families, while today the Lord has been well pleased to grand His Church so many blessed workers, in order to serve His flock.
